Outtake Dump
So, I wanted to do an outtake dump because I really liked a lot of these pictures. I’ve never actually liked pictures before. The only reason I pose so diligently is so that the pictures match up with my writing more accurately. But this one, I actually sat back for a minute, squinting (I bring my glasses to work, take them off and then leave them on my desk. I have five pairs and yet I’m routinely walking around my house, blind, because my every single set of eyes that I own are on a desk that’s a 20 minute drive away.), saying to myself… I like these. Soooooooo, overshare.
Some have captions. Most are just up for show.
Okay, so when I choose photos from my usually giant batch, the first ones to go are the ones where the sims look like… sims. The pic above probably could have made it in if Aeryn wasn’t looking all… simmy. That’s odd, I know, but that’s the foremost and most irrational standard I have. No sims who look too simmy. It’s her hands, I think. But then I didn’t really want her hands all up in his sh*t anyway.
Yeah, don’t really know what is going on in this one. But it’s interesting.
This one was sweet to me… but not at all appropriate. Too lovey.
Too much clipping, and what the hell is Aeryn doing with her face?
Why and how are took this picture are both great, answerless, questions. I can figure out Aeryn’s legs and angle… but Jax? Meh. I’d love to figure it out again though. But yeah, this was a useless, useless picture, and her arm is straight through his abdomen.

SO. MANY. This one, not so much.
Another piece of useless uselessness, but the only reason why I kept this around is because I have no idea how I did this. While I’d love to do it again, I feel like it’s such a useless pose, I still wouldn’t be able to use it for anything. First look, legs from JD’s photobox overlayed with a shy neck rub. But how the hell I got her arm to cross over her chest like that… I take my pictures so far in advanced, and then I don’t look at them for a month. By the time I look, I’ve forgotten everything. FRUSTRATION. But just for this pose, I’m going to start writing things down. Because I don’t even see how this is possible.
Lurv it, but had absolutely nothing for it.
If she wasn’t all up in his sh*t… again… I would have used this. But she was just a little too into it for the context.

Heh, I’m also a little jealous of Aeryn’s bedroom. Those huge factory windows are amazing.

Oh my gosh, that cover shot is the love of my life. Problem is, I know exactly what Aeryn is doing, She’s got a tummy ache, a child animation. But Jax? I’m clueless, and that pisses me off so bad. But eh.
I’ll figure out where those windows are from and link you. But yeah, I love the loft look too.

I’d love to know what pose boxes you used for the bed shots in particular. Not that I’d probably be able to duplicate but I could fudge the angles.

Hey Beth! I wish I could just tell you a pose box, but I don’t use them anymore (eek!). All the bed poses are mix and match animations.
Uhmmmm, for the laydown stuff, I really don’t know. I have to sit down and try to figure it out, because I can’t remember for the life of me.
But sit poses! Jax is got his legs in the hang-out legs crossed position. You can find that in JD’s animbox for Open For Business. His arms… can’t tell you, because I don’t know myself, but I’ll figure it out. When I do, you’ll be the first to know.
Aeryn’s legs for pretty much all the upright bed poses are from JD’s photobox. Either Female 6 or Female 8. Arms… I’m also a little unsure, but I know for one that she’s looking around embarrassed… or she’s hiding her face… either way you can find those animations in decorgal’s sit/talk animation hack.

overlays overlays overlays
Goodbye_Sun has some pretty nice tutorials over a simhaven on livejournal. Those are what started me off, and then it was just trial and error.
I’m gonna do more posing tutorials in the future and I’ll give a more indepth overlay tut depending on what I do. I might leave it up to you guys.

I don’t usually have outtakes, I wish I did! They are so fun. I tend to only take pictures I know I’m going to use… because sifting through 100 pictures for a maybe 16 picture update = DNW.
I am still amazed that you blend all these animations together. Geeze.

Oh Gosh, I take billions of pictures and then when I’m picking and choosing I wanna shoot my computer in the face. That’s why it always takes me such a long time to get my sh*t together, because I’m busy staring at a folder full of fluffling outtakes. And most of the time there will be pictures that are exactly the same save for one tiny little variation, and I’ll have to have a click war with myself trying to decide which one I like better. Meh. But this was the first time I was like… oooo I might like these.
But this update I had easily EASILY 150 photos, and I used 30 for the story, 20 for the outtake. That is some bull crap in a hat. No, you DNW at all.

lol, clippings are always funny especially when they cut each other’s body! You have always been amazing when it comes to using animations. (*envy*) My favourite has got to be the second or third last from the bottom.

I’m about to do another tutorial based on mixing animations, but I’m gonna poll and see which theme you guys want me to use. I make assumptions that everyone knows everything about everything when it comes to animations, which isn’t the case really, so I might need to bring it back to basics. But really, it’s easy, and I’m on a mission to make everyone pose savvy. WAR ON POSEBOXES!

Oh man, dude. My bf is into everythingisterrible.com and one of the vids he was watching was about Satanism. At the very beginning, they mentioned psychic vampires and I thought to myself, “I wonder how much info is out there on the internet about psychic vampirism?”

Yeah, when I was first researching psychic vamps I was a bit amazed at how much stuff there was, but I’ve never seen any of this stuff. I am so amused. SO AMUSED. An army of tanks to you.
