Why is custom content so addictive?
Coolsims just put out a new male hair that has made it absolutely imperative that I completely reshoot the next two updates for Betray to include it. This may or may not slow down the release of the next TYP, but definitely bring us to the conclusion that I’m a crank case (which I recently learned is someone whose ideal night out would include dinner, a movie, and a large pile of crystal meth. So eventually I am going to have to get out of the habit of using that label on myself and others, being that my own definition of it is quite different. But not until I reshoot with that hair.)
Ooo, Veron, I hope that this is not the hair in question because as a Mac user, I can’t load the textures on Cool Sims hairs.

Girl! I just went on a CC binge! Like seriously! A BINGE!!! You want to talk about a large pile of meth? Imagine the last few scenes of Scarface! All that dope on his desk? Dude! THAT’S THE CRAP LOAD OF CC I JUST DOWNLOADED!!! Cause, ya know, I needed it!:P
I just found out about Coolsims a few days ago!! WTH have I been missing!? Gah! I downloaded several hairs from there!

Hehehehehe, tell your computer that I’m soooo sorry! My own computer is at somthing like 8 or 9. But that was AFTER I compressed it. Before, it was dying at 18. And pretty much made of hair.

I used to be a CC junkie, but I’m sitting at like, 6 or so gigs of CC for my storytelling install alone, so I’ve backed off. I haven’t downloaded any clothes/etc for months. This is all CC I’ve accumulated over the past… five years? Or more, possibly.
But now I have to go look at this “cool sims” thing.

Oh you are so good. I’ve been pretty good with CC lately too. Or I make sure I go on a deleting binge if I know I’m going to go on a downloading binge. But Coolsims just ingnited something crazy in me because after I got that hair, I went and found all of its retextures and then stumbled on some sites that I love but haven’t been to in a while and downloaded every single thing, and now I’m going to try and get into bodyshop and fix some of the damage but… it is likely hopeless.

Me too…I clean out my downloads and then download a shitload more. And while I don’t want to turn this into a pissing contest, mine is sitting at 9.96 gigs. Sad but true. And I have more stuff waiting in the wings.
I love CoolSims. I have a lot of their hair. One of the only sites that has some really awesome male hair.

around 10 minutes, sometimes 15 (if I reboot and launch). A long, long time. Honestly I need to cull my downloads (again) and I blame CC creators for not compressorizing and creating high poly stuff that I must have! It has nothing to do with my addiction! I swear!

Hehehehe, Gayl! I’m with you, my folder is up there. Recently I split it in half and put one half on my laptop one half on my desktop, and I only take pictures of certain characters on either so that the CC matches up. But recently it kind of backfired, and Chauncey ended up with spiked hair and nipples peeking out of his shirt.
Coolsims is so not helping, but geez if I wouldn’t take that newest hair out on a date and then impregnate it accidentally on purpose.

Hahaha, I’m so there with you. Half of the stuff in my download folder is never used, and yet I stare at it and I’m like “no, no I’ll use this at some point” or I’ll just keep it because it’s pretty. It’s all for the pretty.
