So… I now have Apartment Life… in a box… sitting in front of me… staring at me… taunting me.

Sitting next to it are Bon Voyage and Freetime… also staring at me… taunting me.

I tried once before to install voyage and freetime in preparation for apartment, and my computer fell over, farted in my face, and died.  After The Calling’s only saving grace was that I backed up my Seasons files… which is something I NEVER do. Never. Not once. It was a complete fluke on the behalf of some misfired neuron in my brain that I took the time to do it…. because I don’t do it… ever.

Anyhoo, my boyfriend managed to revive my comp while I globe trotted, allowing me no time to think about the horror that was installing expansions. (No really, I’ve been surfing for horror stories, and the glitches I hear about are maddening)

But I have returned…and holy hell if I don’t want to install all three at this very moment in time.

So… this is just a little warning. My computer may just die… but for real this time. It’s on it’s fourth year, and it’s getting senile. I KNOW I should just get another one, but I’m still recovering from the death of my last computer, which WAS a new one.

Basically, I have up to the first part of the next chapter written and shot.  They just need to be edited.  So what is at risk here? The entire rest of the story. Especially chapter 3, which is *slight spoiler* chock full of Rowanne and Hadrian… and is becoming my most favorite chapter ever. At least on paper.

So I’m gonna take this one expansion at a time. My game is not hack heavy, because this damn comp tolerates nothing, so on that end I think I’m okay.  I’m backing up everything. Crossing my fingers. Let’s see what happens.

Madness In Sanity: Part VII

without comments

Hi, so, I’m still not updating on a schedule, but I’m planning on getting on one very soon. Forgive this chapter. The pics are a little grainy, and isn’t a very long.  It’s just given me hella trouble, so I decided to cut it short.  Hopefully, I’ll have a longer one with better picture quality up within the week.

Profanity.

Thanks,

I AM HOME, and frankly, it rocks. Granted, my mattress is not at all comparable to the one in the hotel I was staying at, but hell if I didn’t miss it.  And I finally get to see my children (3 great danes, Dozer, Tank, and Link, and my two cats, Cypher and Smith… yeah, I’m one of those).  They’ve been living with my sister, and she’s as ready to give them back as I am to see them :P!  Anyhoo, I’m beat, and I have to be back at work on Wednesday (suck), so I’m probably not going to update with a chapter addition this week, but I’m going to try and get on those character bios that I’ve been promising and promising and promising and promising… Most of them are actually done, I just wanna make them look… pretty…

Thanks,
 Veron

PS – I just realized that Mercer’s scar is on the wrong side of her face in Madness In Sanity Part VI… and I’m probably gonna leave it there… Just pretend its some psychic thing…

Madness In Sanity: Part VI

without comments

Okay, so I didn’t want to update so soon, but I’ve managed to get a flight home last minute.  It’s got like 22 lay-overs (I kid, its more like 6), and I’m pretty much going to be travelling for about 2 days. I don’t think I spend more than 4 minutes in the air at any given time, there are so many lay overs.  But, I unfortunately, am well versed in the pain of nonstop travel, and I know that the minute I get home, I’m going to sleep for 3 days straight.  Then I’m gonna be behind on life, and After The Calling will be one of the first things to hit the back burner.  So I figured, I’d update now, so that you guys would have something new for the next week. Besides after being gone for the entire summer, I’m ready to get through this chapter.  So the sooner the better, I suppose.  Anyhoo, Part VI. Lots of F-Bombs.

Thanks,

Madness In Sanity: Part V

Hi all.  So this update isn’t on a schedule or anything, I just had a free minute. I’m returning home hopefully within the next 2 weeks, which will be incredibly awesome, and maybe a chance for me to get back on some kind of schedule.

Also, there is a small bit of discontinuity in this part. I can’t fix it, so if you notice it, sorry. If you don’t, great!

Thanks,
