Pardon the delay!
So, I’ve been trying to upload pictures off and on for a little bit now, and for some reason, my png files are not showing up. I’m just getting huge black boxes, and no one wants that. I would switch to jpg format or gif, but I can’t stand the quality of those formats. So, plan F. I’m going to call my personal computer/windows/internet wizard (read: boyfriend), and hopefully I can get things running by tommorrow. Sorry!

I use .jpgs without any loss of quality with WoS. Of course, I’m running them through Adobe CS3’s ‘Save for Device’ and using a quality around 80-90. All Photoshop versions do this, to my knowledge, though. It definitely saves on load time with people with slower connections and preserves some bandwidth.
I don’t actually use photoshop. Generally, I use paintshop pro. But I’ll try that. I just get so many blurry artifacts with jpgs. And my shots aren’t always so clear anyway, so it’s really hard to go with that format.
But your shots are always insanely beautiful, Mao, so I will definitely give it a try.
You can tweak that on PSP. I use it in conjunction with Adobe… it’s a little different, though. Let me open the program.
All you do is, when you have the ‘Save As…’ dialogue open, click the button just below help labeled ‘Options…’. There you can change the jpg compression of pictures you save. It isn’t nearly as website friendly as Adobe’s option, but it’s there.
Hope that helps!
